The City uses a “two-sort system” meaning that recyclable paper products go into one 18-gallon bin, and plastic, glass, aluminum, and steel containers go into a separate bin.

What is Not Allowed in the Bins?
- No garbage or other non?recyclable waste
- No batteries, electronic waste and accessories
- No Styrofoam
- No window or auto glass, incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs, mirrors, any other glass that is not a food or beverage container
- No plastic bags
- No home chemicals – paints, pesticides, and other household hazardous waste
- No medical waste and pharmaceuticals
- No non?recyclables – coat hangers, microwave trays, plastic flower pots
- No wet newspapers. Use free recycle caps to keep newspapers dry. To order one, please contact Customer Service at 954-828-8000.
Be On TIME!
The contractor may pick up recycling on your day (Monday) anytime between 7 am and 6 pm. Curbside bins need to be placed at the curb by 7 am on collection days, but no more than 24 hours in advance. Call Customer Service at 954-828-8000 if you have collection problems.
